Back to list
On May 6, 2026, Roku Academy takes the stage at CMAfutureproof the Canadian Marketing Association’s flagship event with a focused masterclass on Connected TV (CTV) strategy, viewer behaviour, and the tools Canadian marketers need to plan more effective streaming campaigns.
If you’re attending in person, the Roku Academy masterclass and Roku’s on site activation are both worth stopping by.

What Is CMAfutureproof?
CMAfutureproof is the flagship event of CMA Marketing Week, a five-day national programming series running May 4–8, 2026. The CMA, Canada's national marketing association with more than 450 corporate and institutional members, built this event for practitioners who want to stay ahead of the curve: senior marketers, brand leaders, and agency professionals navigating a landscape that doesn't slow down.
This year's theme is Signal Through the Noise: How Marketers Win in the Age of Infinite Choice - resonates directly with where the CTV conversation is right now.
The event is held at The Quay in Toronto and runs as a hybrid event, with in-person and virtual attendance both available.
The Problem This Event Is Built to Solve
The CMA's framing for 2026 is direct: in an era where every brand can technically reach everyone, the challenge isn't access - it's influence. Fragmented customer journeys, endless content options, and AI reshaping how content gets discovered have all made the strategic question harder.
How do you plan campaigns that actually change behaviour when the audience is everywhere at once?
That's not a hypothetical in the CTV world. It's the conversation we have with Canadian agencies and brands daily. The difference is that on streaming platforms, you have the data to answer it.
When every channel can reach everyone, reach alone isn't enough. What you do with it is what counts.
The Roku Academy Masterclass and Brand Space
Roku Canada is the Breakout Room Sponsor at CMAfutureproof 2026, delivering a hands-on masterclass that equips attendees with practical Canadian CTV insights, viewer behaviour data, and strategies tailored to the Canadian market. Alongside the session, Roku has a dedicated brand space on the floor: a place to stop in and continue the conversation with our team directly.
The space is designed for conversation, not presentations. Bring your questions about streaming strategy, audience targeting, measurement, and how CTV fits into your current media mix. Our team will be there for the entire day.
We'll also have Roku Academy materials on hand. If you haven't yet enrolled - or want to get your team enrolled - an opportunity to see what the program covers in person.
Events like CMAfutureproof are where the real conversations happen. We'll have our team there all day, and we're looking forward to talking CTV strategy with the marketers who are actually making those decisions.
